Fluorolink® E10-H is a dialcohol terminated, ethoxylated derivative of Fluorolink® D10-H perfluoropolyether with the following
chemical structure:
HO(CH2CH2O)nCH2CF2O(CF2CF2O)p(CF2O)qCF2CH2(OCH2CH2)nOH
Thanks to its functional groups, Fluorolink® E10-H can be used
to modify common polymers such as polyurethanes, polyester,
epoxy, and coatings. Small amounts (0.5-2.0%) are enough to
improve the surface properties, typically the coefficient of friction,
wear resistance, water and oil repellence of common materials.
A higher amount imparts an exceptional chemical resistance to the
corresponding materials, moreover Fluorolink® E10-H, thanks to
the ethoxylated “spacer”, exhibits a similar reactivity with respect to
common hydrogenated oligomeric alcohols.
